Science Progress Internship Program at the Center for American Progress

Interns working with Science Progress have the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic magazine that is recognized by science policymakers around the country. Our mission is to promote science and technology policy in pursuit of the common good. We focus on the life sciences and public health, innovation and economic mobility, energy and environmental policy, science that supports national security, and science communication and education. Our advisors and contributors include prominent researchers and policy professionals. Nationally recognized science journalists Rick Weiss (formerly of The Washington Post, now a CAP Senior Fellow) and Chris Mooney are weekly columnists.

Primary intern responsibilities include writing about policy-related issues regularly for the Science Progress blog, assisting with web production and outreach, and research to support our wide array of content. Excellent written communication skills are a must. A science or engineering background is not necessary; applicants from all academic disciplines are welcome.
