CAP Partners with NAS for Innovation Clusters Event
The Center for American Progress, in partnership with the National Academies, is sponsoring a conference this Wednesday, June 3rd on the role of innovation clusters in spurring economic development, creating new jobs, and building a competitive American economy for the 21st century.
“Growing Innovation Clusters for American Prosperity” will convene academics, business leaders, policymakers, and government officials to discuss and consider how to promote the growth of innovation clusters across the country. Attendees will hear from: Karen Mills, administrator of the Small Business Administration; Susan Crawford, Special Assistant to the President for Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy; Michael Crow, President of Arizona State University; and many other leaders in their respective fields. As General Motors and Chrysler move through bankruptcy, unemployment climbs higher, and global competition gets fiercer, the time is ripe to chart a path forward that has innovation cluster development at the center of American economic strategy.
The event will be held on June 3rd, from 8:45am to 5:00pm, in the Lecture Room at the National Academies, 2100 C Street NW, Washington D.C.
Please contact Adam Gertz (agertz@nas.edu) if you are interested in attending.

Crow has the popularity of an old shoe among the Phoenix public. He sure knows how to waste our money on building construction that is a testament to his overblown ego. Crow is also an unapologetic bigot who spends millions defending ASU against lawsuits tied to him.
June 1st, 2009 at 7:32 pmHe carried his bigotry from Columbia to ASU. don’t believe me? Ask Prof. Graciela Chichilinksy a prominent Latina from Columbia who Crow tried to crush? He cost Columbia millions in litigation fees and settlements. He does the same at ASU.
