I agree with those that say people rely too much on medication. It’s honestly not that hard to avoid lots of common sicknesses. Just use common sense – wash your hands, eat sensibly, exercise a little, etc. I very rarely get sick.

Well I live in canada too but we pay you pay for the healthcare if you make more than 18000 dollars a year so I don’t know why people think it’s free, and by the way when you don’t pay you get a bad service so take a guess.

We spend so much money on reducing small risks in our health care system. i think we should spend more on preventative health care that is more effective.

I don’t think enough emphasis is placed on preventative medicine. Focus on exercise and a healthy diet. I walk every morning and take a whole food vitamin and three acai capsules everyday. I have not had a cold in over three years. I am also starting to take Resv capsules.
You cannot underestimate diet and exercise.

The healthcare crisis will not be curtailed by drug companies trying to sell medications or authors trying to sell fear and books.

The message I get from this story is take your car to a mechanic and tell him to fix it without tools.

It is so easy to post negativity with no suggestions, reminds me of Congress.

Thanks for calling attention on the Center for American Progress’ website to the media’s failure to put the JUPITER trial in proper perspective.
